Product: Elevator friendly Integrated ICU Bed trolleys

Client: QLD health (Robina Hospital) and MidMed)

Summary: The designers at Commercial Wire Design worked with MidMed & QLD health to develop a medical grade stainless steel bed attachment, that quickly and safely secures to the bed. This enables monitors, IV poles and other equipment to be moved in and out of Elevator without increasing the bed’s overall length. The design went through several iterations and improvements, each time incorporating the feedback from Doctors, Nurses and hospital staff on the floor to improve and make the attachment as user-friendly as possible.

Key areas of focus: We were focused on developing a medical grade stainless steel bed attachment, that quickly and safely secures to a bed. This enables life support equipment (monitors, IV poles and other equipment) to be moved without increasing the bed’s overall length.

Summary: Redesign of Stillage Cages for Marsh Springs Australia’s largest spring maker. These Cages are custom designed to suit Marsh Springs exact logistics and warehousing needs.

Key areas of focus: A key part of this project was to ensure that both the Large Stillage Cages (2280 x 1180 x 765mm), Small Stillage Cages (1110 x 545 x 720mm) still each cages were customised exactly to suit the tasks required. Time was spent working with the production staff from March Springs to guarantee that the finished product was durable, transportable, stackable, and tough enough to still be in use many years from now.

• Thicker steel for added strength required for heavy metal parts
• Stackable (4 high when empty/2 high when loaded)
