Summary
The designers at Commercial Wire Design worked with MidMed & QLD health to develop a medical grade stainless steel bed attachment, that quickly and safely secures to the bed. This enables monitors, IV poles and other equipment to be moved in and out of Elevator without increasing the bed’s overall length. The design went through several iterations and improvements, each time incorporating the feedback from Doctors, Nurses and hospital staff on the floor to improve and make the attachment as user-friendly as possible.
Key areas of focus
We were focused on developing a medical grade stainless steel bed attachment, that quickly and safely secures to a bed. This enables life support equipment (monitors, IV poles and other equipment) to be moved without increasing the bed’s overall length.
